The 2010 offseason is well underway!
There are a couple big announcements that continue to make Southern Hills Youth Football and the Northeast Ohio Youth Football Conference (NOYFC) the best in youth football.
We welcome Highland Youth Football into the NOYFC starting this season. Highland Youth Football has a similar to philosophy to our mission statement by teaching the fundamentals of youth football and cheerleading, while emphasizing participation, education, safety and fun
The Hornets of Highland Youth Football will compete in the NOYFC by adding approximately 13 tackle teams in all divisions.
Secondly, with the size of the NOYFC, we are introducing a unique division structure for the 2010 season and beyond. There will now be four seperate Tackle Divisions:
BANTAM 7/8 Year Old
U-9
U-10
VARSITY 11/12 Year Old
That means increased playing time, more evenly matched teams as players will be playing opponents close to their own age, more playoff opportunities and more fun for everyone.
We are not aware of any youth football organizations that have such specific divisions. Another benefit of the strength, size and experience of Southern Hills Youth Football and the Northeast Ohio Youth Football Conference.
All divisions should have approximately 16-20 teams.
Finally, a mandatory Coaching/Referee Clinic will be held in late-July for all coaches and referees in the NOYFC. More details to follow.
